Golf With SNAG

A couple of weeks ago room 19 did some golf with SNAG. We had to be in groups of 3 and whoever hit the yellow target with the least points won the round. I was in Vincent and Samuel's team. Everyone had a great time. My favorite part was when we had to stand behind the little yellow cones and throw the ball with streamers in the air. While we were doing the golf our teacher Miss Purvis took a few photo's here is one of them.

In room nineteen we was asked play golf.It was really cool because we got use different  kinds of bats.First they split us into groups of three.Second of all he taught us how to stand in the right position and to hit it. In my group we had good people who knew how to play golf and at the same time didn't.One person in my group was so naughty that I told the teacher of him.At the same time I did have a good time.It was really cool and I will never forget it !

Last term I went to Golf.I learned how to shot long and short distance.It was fun. My favorite part was when we had to get the ball in the bullseye.

                                                                            Last term we were playing golf on the field. A man was teaching us how to properly hit the ball with  the golf stick. It was a bit like hockey.  I had more experience playing golf.  I wish we could play golf more often at school.

Last term we had golf lessons on the field. We had to try and hit a target like darts just with golf. Then we had to hit it from a longer distance.

We played golf and we had to see who got the most Snags. I liked to throw the ball with the long ribbons at the back. The big yellow circle with the numbers on it was hard to play because when I hit the ball I always missed and when I got it on the circle it was always a bad score.

GYMNASTICS

This year we are learning Gymnastics. There is one girl in our class called Maxine who goes to Gymnastics lessons, and is kind of our helper. Everybody in our class finds it very exiting and fun. There is a balance beam to practice our balancing, and there is a springer thing that helps jump onto the vault. We have two mats to do our forward rolls and a backward rolls mat. It's very tiring but in the end it's really fun!!!!!! 

We also did a bit of Hockey at the Hockey Turf.

Swimming wasn't that fun but it was what we had to do to have fun or we'd have to do work which was boring.But we  learned some amazing things that you can do under water and to swim 4 meters with out pulling your head out of the water. By Japdeep

THE FLOWERS

Some people from our school were lying  down on the floor at the Art Gallery  and were looking at the flowers blooming from the roof.They thought that the flowers on the roof were beautiful. By Edyn.

On Wednesday 30 May and Thursday 31 May all the children in Rooms 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 went to the Art Gallery. We wanted to look at artworks by New Zealanders as part of our studies about Being a New Zealander. We discussed works by John Pule, Rita Angus, and Grace Joel.

Tena Koutou Katoa, Year 4 classes went to the Auckland Art Gallery last week and we were all amazed by the wonderful art in the Gallery.

On Wednesday the 9th of May a group of students from Year 4 to 6 went to the Local Library to hear Bruce Potter speak about his job as an illustrator. He was a very talented man and showed us how he works. We have his latest book in our School Library.
