GYMNASTICS

This year we are learning Gymnastics. There is one girl in our class called Maxine who goes to Gymnastics lessons, and is kind of our helper. Everybody in our class finds it very exiting and fun. There is a balance beam to practice our balancing, and there is a springer thing that helps jump onto the vault. We have two mats to do our forward rolls and a backward rolls mat. It's very tiring but in the end it's really fun!!!!!! 

We also did a bit of Hockey at the Hockey Turf.

Swimming wasn't that fun but it was what we had to do to have fun or we'd have to do work which was boring.But we  learned some amazing things that you can do under water and to swim 4 meters with out pulling your head out of the water. By Japdeep

hi my name is Dominic on Wendsenday 8 august we had to shoot in the Goal. it was fun when we be buddy like its a rely in a game and also when games in Hockey too. And we have to learn our indian dribble. Some people like it. most of people because it is fun the indian dribble because  look at my face it look weard at my Picture because I hate it because my tongue is sticking out in front of Shivee.

We went swimming at the Papatoetoe Swimming Pools for 3 weeks. Every Tuesday we go there. I am in the highest group.

On 30th of April half of room 19 and half of room 18 went to the Art Gallery.Here is some of the boys art.

THE FLOWERS

These are the flowers from the Art Gallery. The flowers were blooming and they look very colourful. I love all the flowers. The cherries at the bottom looked edible. By Kimberley.

Some people from our school were lying  down on the floor at the Art Gallery  and were looking at the flowers blooming from the roof.They thought that the flowers on the roof were beautiful. By Edyn.

On Wednesday 30 May and Thursday 31 May all the children in Rooms 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 went to the Art Gallery. We wanted to look at artworks by New Zealanders as part of our studies about Being a New Zealander. We discussed works by John Pule, Rita Angus, and Grace Joel.
